Barack Obama has started a movement for change in America. He has captured the hearts of Americans who ordinarily do not vote, displayed his brand of a new, ethical, and unifying politics, and will be able to turn this movement into a working majority to make substantial policy changes in Washington.
This afternoon in New Orleans John Edwards pointedly ended his campaign where he began it, by fighting on behalf of America's poor. Throughout his campaign, Edwards passionately advocated for the other America. These hard working, patriotic Americans who work hard everyday, but are not represented by lobbyist in Washington. Meanwhile, the rich keep getting richer and Billionaires like Warren Buffet admittedly pay a lower tax rate than their secretarys.
Now, with John Edwards out of the race, and Super Duper (aka "Tsunami") Tuesday on February 5th, we need Barack and John to come together as an announced ticket before Tuesday. Never before have primary candidates banded together to give voters a choice of an entire Democratic ticket during the primaries. What a great way to solidify support for the real change agents in this race by Barack and John combining efforts to take on the other two headed candidate in this election.
